Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Chitwan National Park is home to different types of animals and birds, including the one horned Asian rhinoceros, gharial crocodile, fresh water gangetic dolphin, different types of deer, wild elephants, monkeys, leopard, sloth bear and the mighty Bengal tiger.
From Kathmandu, it is a 30-minute flight or a 5–7-hour drive on a tourist bus. Avoid visiting this region in the monsoon season due to torrential rain. While you are here, enjoy a jungle safari in a jeep of on an elephant back.

Depart from Pokhara and drive approximately 3.5 hours to Maldhunga.

Camp overnight at Modhi Khola, enjoying the riverside ambiance.
After breakfast at the campsite, embark on the day’s rafting journey.
Encounter challenging rapids like the Good Morning rapid along with Class III and IV rapids.
Take in spectacular views of the Himalayas and cascading waterfalls lining the river.
Camp for the night at Purti Ghat, immersed in the natural beauty of the surroundings.
Continue rafting downstream towards Setibeni, navigating smaller rapids.
Witness Shaligram, black rocks revered as incarnations of Lord Vishnu, along the riverbanks.
Complete the rafting trip at Mirmi, the designated take-out point.
