Enjoy the Adventure
Embark on a thrilling 3-day adventure along the Kali Gandaki River, named after the Hindu goddess Kali. This river rafting expedition offers a unique blend of exhilarating rapids and breathtaking natural beauty, making it ideal for both experienced rafters and novices. The river, which originates from the Tibetan plateau, flows through the deepest gorge in the world, nestled between the towering peaks of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna.
Your journey starts with a 3.5-hour drive from Pokhara to Maldhunga, the put-in point. Here, our professional guides will brief you on rafting techniques and safety measures before you hit the water. The Kali Gandaki River boasts Class III and IV rapids, providing an adrenaline rush as you navigate through the Big Brother and Small Brother rapids on the first day.
Each evening, you'll relax at our riverside campsites, enjoying the serene beauty of Nepal’s landscapes, the warmth of a campfire, and the camaraderie of your rafting team. The trip also offers opportunities to see black rocks called Shaligram, worshipped by Hindus as manifestations of Lord Vishnu, and to play in warm, cascading waterfalls.
On the final day, the rafting adventure continues towards Setibeni, where you'll encounter smaller rapids and paddle through scenic terrains until reaching the take-out point at Mirmi. From there, a bus will take you back to Pokhara, wrapping up this unforgettable adventure.
